Opening dates and availability vary, so please visit our Tickets page to view the full event calendar, check availability and book your preferred date and entry time.

Booking your visit is quick and easy.

Tickets can be purchased online through our official ticketing platform.

Simply choose:

  • Your preferred date.
  • Your preferred entry time.
  • Your ticket type.

Complete your booking and you’ll receive a confirmation email containing your tickets and booking reference.

Please check your Junk or Spam folder if your confirmation email doesn’t arrive within a few minutes.

We strongly recommend booking online in advance, as many dates, particularly Fridays, Saturdays and the week leading up to Halloween sell out before the event opens.

Please be aware that tickets should only be purchased through our official ticketing platform. Screenshots of tickets will not be accepted, and we cannot guarantee the validity of tickets purchased from third-party sellers or unofficial websites.

  • Halloween Town – our immersive horror world filled with live characters, street theatre and hidden stories.
  • Avery Hill Asylum.
  • Sundown Manor.
  • Five Secret Experiences waiting to be discovered throughout the event.
  • Live entertainment and roaming performances taking place across Halloween Town throughout the evening.

There is no set route, so we encourage you to take your time, explore the world around you and discover everything The Nightmare Realm has to offer. Allow 1.5–2 hours for your visit.

Please note that professional photographs are not included in the price of your admission ticket and are available to purchase separately.

your visit

The Nightmare Realm is located at:

Avery Hill Mansion
Bexley Road
Greenwich
South East London
SE9 2PQ

The venue is easily accessible by car and public transport, with free on-site parking available for guests. Avery Hill is also served by several local bus routes and is within easy reach of nearby rail stations.

We recommend using SE9 2PQ in your satellite navigation and allowing plenty of time to arrive before your booked entry slot.

Yes. Free on-site parking is available for guests attending The Nightmare Realm.

Please follow the directions provided by our parking team when you arrive and allow enough time to park before your booked entry time.

We recommend booking one of our earlier entry times to make the most of everything The Nightmare Realm has to offer.

Your visit includes far more than our headline attractions. Take time to explore Halloween Town, meet our characters, uncover the Secret Experiences and soak up the atmosphere. Allow at least two hours to enjoy the full experience.

Please arrive around 15 minutes before your booked entry time. As entry is managed through timed ticket slots, guests cannot be admitted before their allocated time.

If you prefer a quieter, more intimate experience, we recommend visiting on one of our Off-Peak evenings. Peak nights, particularly Fridays, Saturdays and the week leading up to Halloween, are our busiest and often sell out well in advance.

Please note that our headline attractions begin closing from 10:00pm, with all attractions closed by 10:30pm. We recommend choosing an earlier time slot if you’d like to experience everything on offer.

The Nightmare Realm includes both indoor and outdoor areas.

Halloween Town and parts of your journey take place outdoors, while Avery Hill Asylum, Sundown Manor and selected immersive experiences take place indoors.

Please dress appropriately for the weather.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sensible footwear suitable for walking and standing throughout your visit.

As parts of The Nightmare Realm take place outdoors, please check the weather before travelling and dress appropriately. A coat or waterproof clothing is recommended if rain is forecast.

Fancy dress is welcome, but we advise choosing clothing and footwear that allows you to move comfortably through the experience.

For your comfort and safety, high heels, open-toed shoes and restrictive costumes are not recommended.

To help you choose the best time to visit, we offer both Peak and Off-Peak ticket options.

Off-Peak nights include Sunday to Thursday (excluding Fridays and selected holiday periods).

Peak nights include Fridays, Saturdays and our final week leading up to Halloween, when demand is at its highest.

Peak nights are typically our busiest evenings, with higher attendance and longer queue times.

We strongly recommend booking your tickets online in advance, as many dates sell out before the event opens. Tickets will only be available on the door if capacity allows.

All tickets are scanned at our Box Office when you arrive at The Nightmare Realm.

Please have your digital or printed ticket ready for scanning and aim to arrive around 15 minutes before your booked entry time.

Our team will check you in, answer any questions you may have and direct you towards the entrance to begin your journey into Halloween Town.

Queue times vary depending on the day you visit, your arrival time and overall attendance.

On peak nights, particularly weekends and the days leading up to Halloween, queues are likely to be longer than on quieter evenings.

If you’re visiting during one of our busiest periods, we recommend purchasing a Fast Pass ticket to reduce your waiting time and make the most of your visit.

Fast Pass tickets provide priority access to our headline attractions, allowing you to use the dedicated Fast Pass entrance rather than the standard queue.

If Fast Pass upgrades are still available, you may also upgrade your Standard Ticket at the Ticket Office on the day of your visit.

The Nightmare Realm operates during most weather conditions.

Some areas of the experience are outdoors, so please dress appropriately and bring waterproof clothing when rain is forecast.

The event will only be delayed, changed or cancelled if conditions make it unsafe to operate.

Re-entry is not normally permitted once you have entered The Nightmare Realm.

Please make sure you have everything you need before your ticket is scanned. Speak to a member of staff if you need to leave because of an emergency or exceptional circumstance.

The Experience

We recommend allowing at least two hours for your visit.

The exact length of your experience may vary depending on queue times, how long you spend exploring Halloween Town and whether you discover the hidden Secret Experiences.

There is no need to rush. Take your time, interact with the characters and explore the world around you.

No. The Nightmare Realm is, and always has been, a strictly no-touch horror experience.

Our performers may come close to you, interact with you and involve you in the story, but they will never intentionally touch you.

We ask all guests to show our performers the same respect. Touching, grabbing or behaving aggressively towards any member of our cast or staff will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event without a refund.

For the safety of everyone attending, CCTV operates throughout the venue and our security team is present at all times.

Photography is encouraged throughout Halloween Town, and guests are welcome to capture photographs with our performers where appropriate.

Photography and filming are not permitted inside Avery Hill Asylum, Sundown Manor or selected immersive experiences unless a member of staff advises otherwise.

Flash photography, professional filming equipment and livestreaming may be restricted.

Throughout Halloween Town you’ll discover hidden encounters, unexpected characters and immersive moments that aren’t always advertised on the map. We won’t spoil them here.. finding them is part of the adventure.

Guests enter The Nightmare Realm in groups of a maximum of 8 people at one time.

For the best possible experience, we recommend exploring in smaller groups. This allows everyone to fully enjoy the atmosphere, interact with our performers and experience the story as it unfolds.

If you’re visiting as part of a larger group, our team may ask you to split into smaller groups when entering certain attractions. Once you’ve completed the attraction, you’re welcome to meet back up in Halloween Town before continuing your journey together.

Yes! Professional group photographs are available to purchase during your visit for £15 each.

Purchased photographs are uploaded to our official Facebook page each evening, where you can easily view, download and share your memories from The Nightmare Realm.

If you choose not to purchase your photograph, it will not be uploaded to our social media channels.

If you would like a photograph removed from our Facebook page, simply send us a message via Facebook with a link to the image, and our team will be happy to remove it as soon as possible.

accessibility and safety

We are committed to making The Nightmare Realm as accessible as possible.

Halloween Town is fully wheelchair accessible, and one of our headline attractions is fully accessible. A second attraction can be experienced with assistance from our team, although parts of the route may differ from the standard guest experience.

Our staff are always on hand to provide assistance and will be happy to discuss the best route for your visit.

Please note that motorised mobility scooters are not recommended within the attraction due to space restrictions and the nature of some environments.

If you have any questions about accessibility or would like to discuss your individual requirements before booking, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

The Nightmare Realm is designed as an intense horror experience and is recommended for guests aged 13 years and over.

Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

Every guest experiences fear differently. Parents and guardians should use their own judgement when deciding whether the event is suitable for younger attendees.

Please note that loud noises, darkness, theatrical effects and live performers form a significant part of the experience.

The safety of our guests, performers and staff is our highest priority.

The Nightmare Realm has trained security personnel, qualified first aiders and CCTV operating throughout the event to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Our security team may carry out bag checks or other security measures on arrival. We kindly ask all guests to cooperate with these checks, as they are in place for everyone’s safety.

Bag and Venue policy:

To help keep the event safe and enjoyable, please note the following:

  • Bags may be searched on entry.
  • Outside food and drink are not permitted.
  • Alcohol is strictly prohibited and will be confiscated if brought onto the site.
  • Smoking, vaping and the use of e-cigarettes are not permitted within the event.
  • Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia are strictly prohibited.
  • Umbrellas are not permitted inside the attraction. Please bring suitable waterproof clothing if rain is forecast.

Guests who fail to comply with these policies, or who behave in a way that may compromise the safety or enjoyment of others, may be refused entry or asked to leave the event without a refund.

Fancy dress is encouraged, and we love seeing our guests embrace the spirit of Halloween.

For the safety and security of everyone attending, the following items are not permitted:

  • Full-face masks or costume masks that conceal your identity.
  • Hoods or face coverings that obscure your face.
  • Real or replica weapons, including any costume props that could be mistaken for an offensive weapon.

Face paint is welcome and is a great alternative to wearing a mask.

The Nightmare Realm reserves the right to refuse entry or ask guests to remove any costume or accessory considered unsafe, offensive or inappropriate.

The Nightmare Realm contains intense scenes, loud sound effects, strobe lighting, theatrical smoke, uneven surfaces and sudden scares.

The experience may not be suitable for guests who:

  • Have heart conditions or high blood pressure.
  • Are pregnant.
  • Suffer from epilepsy or other conditions affected by flashing lights.
  • Experience severe anxiety, claustrophobia or panic attacks.
  • Have mobility limitations that may make navigating the attraction difficult.

If you have any medical condition or accessibility requirement and are unsure whether the experience is suitable, please contact us before your visit. Our team will be happy to discuss your individual needs and advise on the best way to enjoy your experience.

For the comfort and safety of both our guests and animals, dogs and other pets are not permitted within The Nightmare Realm.
